Bournemouth life guard Bournemouth beach is a safe and clean beach and very inviting for families to spend a day of leisure. Along Bournemouth beach are life guard posts with life guards keeping an eye on the sea, swimmers and everything else that goes on around the beach. Blue Flag Awards

Bournemouth beach is also an award winning beach. Blue Flag Award Having won eight blue flag awards, Bournemouth and Poole beach are amongst the best beaches in the world. ENCAMS, the charity responsible for Blue Flag in England, measures beaches conform 28 imperative criteria and other guideline criteria of the strictest standard relating to water quality, environmental education, environmental management and safety and services.

Green Tourism Award

Bournemouth is also the United Kingdom's first seafront to win a Green Tourism Award. The Seafront Operations Team has achieved a 'silver' award from the Green Tourism Business Scheme. This award demonstrates a commitment to sustainable tourism and minimising damage to the environment. Bournemouth beach safety features

In short, Bournemouth is a very clean beach (cleaned on a daily basis in the summer) and a safe beach. There are non-smoking areas where sun lovers can enjoy the sun in a clean, smoke-free environment. Dogs are banned from the beach during the summer months and must be leashed on the promenade. Cycling is also prohibited on certain parts of the promenade and during certain hours, so small children can freely walk around without the fear of being hit by a cyclist.

Along the seafront are several pubs and other outlets which offer food and drinks. You can also find public toilets, including baby changing facilities, every few hundred yards.
